The Heart of Recovery: Utah Triumphs, Rebuilt Families, and Office Legends
A Utah Family’s Turning Point: The Power of Stabilization and Mobile Response
"Our family was introduced to SMR during a really hard time in our lives. A crisis worker came to our house the night our son ran away. They met with us after the police came and he was found. We were at a loss on where to start to get our son the help he needed and to know how to parent at this point.
The crisis worker spoke with our son, made sure he felt safe, and did an assessment. They then met with my husband an d me. Resources were shared with us, and a plan was made to help our family.
A crisis worker came to our house twice a week for a while and worked with the three of us. The SMR program saved us. The crisis worker created a safe space for my son to speak his mind and for us to communicate and parent better. It helped us transition to a therapist for our son to continue working with. I'm so grateful for this resource that was made available to our family ."
— A Grateful Utah Parent
